Jigawa State Scholarship Board was established by the Edict of September, 1995 by the then military administrator in the State. The Law was later reviewed as Law No. 2 of 1998 and became operational on 12th February, 1998.
The Board is charged with the responsibilities of securing admission to the bonafide indigenes of the state in tertiary institutions within and outside Nigeria, formulates and review policies and initiate programmes on the award of scholarship to deserving students among other functions of the Board
